Kimiko Ishizaka on IMSLP / Petrucci Music Library
"Eventually sites like IMSLP will be comprehensive and complete, to the point that one won't need to buy a recording in order to hear a good performance of a piece. This is a good thing for humanity, and for the arts. The study and cultivation of the classical music culture is already very expensive, and IMSLP significantly lowers the cost of discovering music. The easy availability of music will also lead to a wider and more diverse living repertoire, where performers actively study and perform more than just the "greatest hits" masterpieces. In all, contributing to the IMSLP is a great thing to do, and it directly increases the public good." Kimiko Ishizaka on IMSLP / Petrucci Music Library
